Paleo steak with shiitake mushrooms and broccoli!

Steaks with mushrooms and sauce are at the top of the list of protein-rich dishes. The simplest steak with pepper and salt may be the most satisfying, especially when served with a side of freshly roasted asparagus with shiitake mushrooms and a dash of thyme.

Ingredients

  • Beef round, bottom round, steak, lean and fat – 360g / 2 stakes 

  • Mushrooms, shiitake – 220g / sliced

  • Asparagus (or Broccoli) – 180g / 1 Cup, chopped

  • Avocado oil – 14g / 1 tbsp

  • Thyme, fresh – 1g / 1 tsp

  • Salt, table – 1g / 1 pinch, or to taste

  • Spices, pepper, black – 1g / 1 pinch, or to taste

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 220 Deg C or 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a bowl, combine the asparagus (or Broccoli) and shiitake mushrooms.
  • Drizzle with avocado oil, thyme, and salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a baking dish, place the shiitake mixture and roast for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Heat the grill to medium-high.
  • Season the steaks evenly with black pepper and season to taste with salt.
  • Grill the steaks for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, depending on how do you want them; set aside for 5 to 6 minutes to rest.
  • Asparagus and shiitake mushrooms should be served alongside the steaks.
